Letter from Mr. Garner
August 24, 2005
Dear Ebert Parents,
Welcome to the 2005-2006 school year! My name is Colin Garner, and this will be my third year as violin/strings instructor at Ebert. Miss Patterson and I are thrilled with the level of interest exuded by students for the Ebert instrumental program this year.
The string classes are open to all students who are interested in exploring either the violin or viola. The cello will be offered in the beginning class only, and must be rented from a music store. This year I am pleased to offer three classes. In addition to the beginning and intermediate classes, an advanced class will now be offered for those students who have been involved in the program for two years, and/or have more extensive experience with a stringed instrument. Each session will meet once a week-the beginners on Wednesdays from 3:50-4:45, the intermediates on Thursdays at the same time, and the advanced class on Wednesday mornings from 8:00-8:45.
The Ebert string classes are a superb way for students to foster creative and intellectual talents, build self-discipline, explore the subject and artistry of music, and most importantly, have fun!
There will be an informational meeting for all interested students and parents at 8:30 a.m. on Monday August 29th. Hope to see you there!
Warmest regards,
Colin Garner
