Step up for Polaris – 5/3/12

    May 3, 2012 By admin

Here we go! Only four weeks until we can all enjoy that extra-long summer break we have this year. The Gala, the annual Book Fair and Field Day are the last big events of the year and they are coming right up! I hope everyone can attend to help make each of these events a spectacular success for our school.

As always, thanks for doing what you can!

    Current Volunteer Needs:

Gala – Our fabulous third-grade parents filled all of the volunteer slots I asked them to, but I recently added a few more slots to help out the “Green Team” with their Eco bag fundraiser. Here is the SLY REPLY if you can donate 45 minutes of your time to help them out. Remember, these are the folks that brought composting and real silverware to our school! Yay Green Team!

Rolling Coat Rack Needed - Our lost and found area is in dire need of a new rolling coat rack to display all of the poor items hoping to go home to their rightful owners. If you have a rack sitting in your basement collecting dust, please donate it to the cause. Please contact Molly Kirschling at paulnmolly@gmail.com if you can help out with this.

Spring Clean Up Anyone? – It would be wonderful to get the playground tidied up before Field Day on May 18. If you would like to host a spring clean up, please let me know. All it takes is rounding up a few folks (which I can help with) and showing up with your rakes, brooms, trash bags and weed pullers. Please contact me if you’d like to take this one on!

Annual Book Fair – You’ll find more detailed information about the annual Book Fair elsewhere in the ePost, but in case you missed the SLY REPLY there, here is another chance to help out with this once-a-year event that earns hundreds of new books for our fabulous library.
