Hear Ye, Hear Ye:  Independent Research Projects Move to December!

                        

                            Project Dates to Remember

 

-October 20:  Science research project toolkits distributed (grades 3-5)

     Helpful documents:

            1.  ToolKit (grades 3-5 only): Student science research project toolkit and Parent side (toolkit)

            2.  Polaris Science Handbook:  How to do an Independent Research Project at Polaris

            3.  DPS Science Fair Guidance:  DPS Science Fair 2008

 

-November 17:  Science fair boards now available in the office ($5) 

      Students must buy a colored board according to their class.

            black = 5th grade

            blue = 4th grade

            red = 3rd grade, and

            white = K-2

 

-November 24:  All comments on student drafts due (from Teachers)

-December 3-5:  Final research papers and display boards/balls due

-December 9-11:  At-school oral project presentations, by class

-December 11 (6-8:15 pm): 

               Salute to Our Student Scientists evening celebration

                     -All-school display of student-produced science research projects

                     -Fun science assembly by the Denver Museum of Nature and Science (DMNS)
