    Principal Karin Johnson

Welcome to Polaris at Ebert!  As the North Star was a beacon for explorers to a new world, Polaris guides its students through an exceptional arts-integrated curriculum for gifted learners. Polaris at Ebert, located on the northeast edge of downtown Denver, is Denver Public Schools’ free-standing magnet solely dedicated to meeting the needs of highly gifted and high-achieving students.

Committed to providing an education of academic excellence, the Polaris program fosters intellectual curiosity and creativity.  The curriculum offers a rigorous interdisciplinary study in literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies while incorporating art, music, physical education, and technology.  Focused on the well-being of the whole child, Polaris aims to support and nurture the joy of life-long learning.

    Our Mission:

Polaris at Ebert supports highly gifted and high achieving students in reaching their maximum potential as young learners.  Collaboration of students, parents and teachers assures an innovative, culturally rich learning environment where differences are supported and celebrated.  Engaging integrated curricula offers rigorous challenges that nurture curiosity, skill development, knowledge and the courage needed to imagine and achieve.  Personal academic and artistic excellence is an everyday standard of our school.  Learning experientially and enthusiastically, Polaris students become thoughtful, confident and responsible citizens of the world.
