Last month, The Gathering Place was the recipient of the Holiday Giving Project at Polaris at Ebert Elementary School. Along with selling over 500 greeting cards for our Card Project, students collected over 250 hats, gloves, and scarves and 20 fleece blankets handmade by students that proved to be extremely valuable when the erratic Colorado weather eventually turned cold.
According to The Gathering Place, our school also added 200+ packages of new socks and underwear to the clothing boutique, which are very much appreciated by their clients. The amount of donated items were so generous that their staff had to make an extra trip to Polaris just to carry everything back to TGP!
